Tami was born and raised in San Diego, CA. where she was brought up in a flying family at Browns Field Airport where her grandfather owned an international flight school. In 2005 she moved to Arkansas and earned a bachelor degree in Journalism while raising her two sons. She was a journalist for many years, and also has a background in Grant Writing and Property Management. After moving to Missouri to be closer to her family in 2020, her focus shifted to the elderly as her grandmother was in a nursing home and she spent most of her time there. In 2023 she had a brain aneurysm and underwent surgery, while recovering she began to get bombarded with medical bills and wanted to better understand the wild web of insurance. Tami joined Risk Masters Group in February 2024 and became licensed in several insurance lines including property, casualty and health. She believes in taking the time to understand and get to know her clients so she can tailor personalized policies that fit the specific needs of the individual or business. Tami is also a Notary Public whose services are free to Risk Masters Group clients. Tami has an attitude that reflects the perspective of "we aren't promised tomorrow" and she emphasizes the importance of kindness, connection, honesty, integrity, and having lots of laughs. She is very close with family, and a stranger quickly becomes a friend.
Her hobbies include long treacherous hikes, camping, kayaking, fishing, writing, and copper and mixed medium art.
